PRODUCTION/KITCHEN HELPER

Job description:
J&W Farms, a local company producing soups, dips, salsas, chilis, pestos and more, is looking for a full-time kitchen/production helper. Main duties include:
washing, prepping/chopping vegetables(using a machine and/or by hand when necessary)
assist the packing of finished product(labeling and dating finished product)
perform cleaning and sanitation of prep area daily and as needed (surfaces, utensils, machinery, floors)
organization and rotation of inventory for fresh ingredients and dry goods — first in, first out!
Flexible person also interested in working at our small farm field and farm stand — lots of opportunities!
REQUIREMENTS:
able to work in a fast-paced environment
focused, physically strong as the work demands standing and lifting up to 50lbs
Previous experience in manufacturing or the food industry is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining product quality.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
